August 1st, 2022 – After much prayer and consideration, AIM is happy to announce the appointment of Clayton Butler as CEO. Clayton has extensive history with AIM as well as considerable experience in the nonprofit sector and the fight against trafficking. As the first Long-Term Volunteer for AIM, Clayton served as the Anti-Trafficking Program Coordinator, the Director of Siem Reap Programs, the Director of Prevention Programs, and the Country Director in Cambodia. Through these roles, he helped establish several programs and mentor many staff members who are still with AIM today. Additionally, holding a role in the AIM US Headquarters gave Clayton an understanding of the operations-side of AIM. Read more about Clayton’s experience with AIM here.
Outside of AIM, Clayton has extensive law enforcement training and experience. As an agent for the Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control, he conducted investigations into situations of sex trafficking, sale of illegal narcotics, sale of narcotic paraphernalia, sale of alcohol to minors, and illegal gambling.
Above all, Clayton’s love for Christ and his heart for anti-trafficking work is apparent throughout his life and testimony. This love has been witnessed by AIM staff in Cambodia and the US, and by all those who come into contact with Clayton and his family. We are excited for what Clayton will bring to AIM, once again, in the role of CEO.
AIM Co-Founders, Don and Bridget Brewster, wholeheartedly support this decision. Stepping fully into their roles as Co-Founders, Don and Bridget will continue to speak out against trafficking while supporting the mission of AIM and expanding awareness of the issue.
Please join us in praying for Clayton, his wife, Emily, and daughter, June, as they transition back into work with AIM.
