This isn’t a trip to observe a program. It’s an invitation to discern what role your church might play in God’s mission to rescue, heal, and rebuild what was broken.

You’ll meet our staff and spend time with our program leaders.

Arrive in Belize City: BZE by 1pm on the first day of the trip

Depart from Belize City: After 1pm on the final day of the trip

Travelers will arrange their own flights. Since group participants will come from different parts of the country this allows the use of miles and/or to get points on your preferred airline. The AIM team can advise and support your travel planning. Where possible, depending on group participant’s home locations, we can advise travelers to match itineraries to be on the same or similar flights.

During the trip, led by by Mark Graham, AIM Director of Church Engagement, you’ll see first-hand our holistic model for fighting sex-trafficking, witness the transformation that has taken place, and meet with AIM’s incredible program leaders. We’ll also observe from a distance current trafficking hot spots and learn about AIM’s response and upcoming development.

To balance the heaviness that the issue of trafficking can bring, you’ll also spend time with other like-minded leaders, eat amazing food, enjoy the tropical scenery, stay in tropical luxury hotels and have fun! We hope the trip will bring you enhanced knowledge, renewed passion and hope for the mission, amazing memories, and new friendships.

You are only responsible for covering the cost of your airfare ($1,000+ depending on airline and itinerary) and any souvenirs you wish to purchase while in Belize. All other in-country costs—lodging, meals, ground transportation, and experiences—will be covered by AIM as it’s our desire for you to become fully immersed in the mission.

FAQs

What will the weather be like?
Temperatures will be in the 80℉ with humidity and possible light rain showers. Days spent at the coast will be slightly cooler with opportunities to cool off in the water.
Will we have internet/cell reception?
At the hotels we stay in, we’ll have wifi. International cell phone plans can be purchased. While in Belize the trip group will communicate via the app Signal.
How will we travel while in Belize?
Our group will always travel together, driven by an AIM staff member in an air conditioned, comfortable van.
What will we eat?
We’ll eat at incredible restaurants with a variety of choices in dishes, both local and customary, and more of what you’re used to at home. We’ll have access to markets to pick up snacks and will always have plenty of water bottles on hand to stay hydrated.
How will I know what to pack?
We’ll provide you with a packing list and lots of tips and tricks. Attire will be casual and comfortable.
What if I have a medical emergency?
AIM staff are fully equipped to support in case of sickness or emergencies and we’ll always be within quick and easy access to highly skilled modern medical facilities.
I’m new to international travel, what is the customs process?
No problem! We’ll provide easy instructions for obtaining a tourist visa to Belize and navigating the customs process in the airport upon arrival.
