Hope Has A New Address For Trafficking Survivors

Imagine sitting in a brand new building, walls still carrying the scent of fresh paint, and palm trees rustling in a breeze crossing over Central America.  Imagine watching as a young survivor discovers for the first time that there’s a God who loves her unconditionally. That her identity isn’t defined by her backstory.

This is no longer a distant dream or future plan—this conversation is taking place in a real home, with real walls, built by real people who believed that this moment was worth it. Five years ago, this scene existed only in prayers and blueprints. Partners traveled thousands of miles to work on the home and get everything ready. Donors financed a building that at the time housed nothing but hope. Staff prepared for residents who existed only in our minds and God leading our hearts.

When A Vision To Stop Human Trafficking Becomes Reality

On May 15, 2025, an AIM Custom Inspired ribbon created by a partner mission team was cut outside a quiet house in Central America, and empty beds became a place to dream again. What had lived only in plans, prayers, and the generosity of a worldwide family finally opened its doors: AIM’s first Restoration Home in the region.

But here’s what no blueprint could capture: the sound of laughter echoing across the property just days later.

The Transformation Begins

“Today, when I got to work, I could hear the girls laughing across the property,” shared our Manager of Residential Care. “They were being silly and playing football with their House Moms. I’m so blessed to see (and hear) their journey of healing begin.”

Think about that for a moment. Girls aged 12-17, who arrived scared and uncertain, were playing soccer and laughing with the women caring for them. This isn’t just residential care; this is restoration in action.

How does transformation happen this quickly? It starts with something most of us take for granted: safety. When survivors first arrive, they’re scared, sad, and uncertain whether this is truly a safe place. But with time, we see them open up with smiles, telling us they like this place and they feel taken care of.

Your Partnership Made This Possible

None of this happened by accident. That house where healing conversations are taking place? Built by partners who traveled to Central America with hammers and hope. Those rooms where girls are peacefully sleeping? Funded by donors who believed in a vision before it had walls. Is that staff providing family-like care? Supported by people who understood that rescue without restoration is incomplete.

But the most powerful transformation isn’t physical, it’s spiritual. Our House Mom recently shared this incredible moment:

“We had an amazing time with devotions. They all participated in reading the bible, and we did popcorn prayer. It was emotional to hear the girls just pouring out their hearts to God. One girl amazed me with her prayer; it was from the bottom of her heart.”

What started as a vision five years ago is now a vibrant reality. What began with partners swinging hammers has become survivors discovering their Heavenly Father. What was once just an address on construction plans is now truly Hope’s new home.

Survivors Will Receive

  • Trauma‑informed counseling that guides each young woman toward freedom from fear and shame
  • Comprehensive medical care to restore physical health
  • Catch‑up schooling and individualized tutoring so that missed years in the classroom are reclaimed
  • Vocational training that equips girls with skills for dignified work
  • Discipleship and daily spiritual formation, because lasting transformation begins at the heart

Every day, our team of house moms, social workers, and teachers will weave safety and structure into ordinary moments: shared meals, homework help, evening devotions. This is where restoration takes root.

First Guests, First Prayers

We are so excited to announce that our very first guests are settling in. Each brave girl arrives with her own story and her own journey ahead, and now they share a common connection, one where people like you gave them the chance to explore a future filled with possibility.

Please Join Us In Praying For:

  • Healing & Wholeness – that God would meet each survivor in her unique journey
  • Staff Strength & Unity – for endurance, wisdom, and joy as they model Christ‑like love
  • Community Protection – that the neighborhood would become an extension of safety, not a reminder of past danger
  • Sustainable Provision – for resources so every need—educational, medical, spiritual—is met in abundance
  • Multiplication of Impact – that this home would be the first of many spaces of freedom across Central America

Looking Ahead

This ribbon cutting is not a finish line; it is a launching pad. As these first girls begin their journey, we are already preparing for those who will follow. With God’s guidance and your steadfast partnership, we will continue to rescue, heal, and transform lives, one survivor, one home, one nation at a time.
