Objective
We want our AIM partners to be part of our family. Get to know the work you are supporting and the lives you are impacting.
By visiting and encouraging our team, we pray you feel more connected to the heart of AIM.
Destinations
Teams serve where AIM works every day. Both regions are tropical, hot and humid, with a rich and complex culture.
People are friendly towards visitors and will often want to practise their English with you. Monsoon season, typically May to October, brings storms most evenings.
A similar climate, and English is commonly spoken. People are warm and welcoming to visitors.
What you do
Once your trip is approved, AIM staff propose a project for your church based on an actual need on the ground. Past projects include:
- Major construction
- Supporting kids club
- Painting murals
- Camping trips
AIM suggests safe lodging close to common locations, and has an action plan for emergencies, including transport to large hospitals.
Cost
A one-time $350 participation fee, which now covers an online background check. The bigger the number, the taller the peak.
