Arrive in Cambodia: Morning of Tuesday, October 7th

Depart from Cambodia: Afternoon / evening of Sunday, October 12th

Travelers will arrange their own flights. Since group participants will come from different parts of the country this allows the use of miles and/or to get points on your preferred airline. Travelers should plan to arrive in Phnom Penh on the morning of Tuesday, October 7th (which generally means departing the US on the evening of Sunday, October 5th). The AIM team can advise and support your travel planning. Where possible, depending on group participant’s home locations, we can advise travelers to match itineraries to be on the same or similar flights.

During the trip, led by Matt Robertson, you’ll see first-hand AIM’s holistic model for fighting sex-trafficking, witness the transformation that has taken place, and meet with AIM’s incredible program leaders. We’ll also observe from a distance current trafficking hot spots and learn about AIM’s response.

To balance the heaviness that the issue of trafficking can bring, you’ll also spend time with other like-minded leaders, eat amazing food, enjoy the tropical scenery, stay in five-star luxury hotels and have fun! In addition, we will visit the ancient temples of Angkor Wat, the 8th wonder of the world, outside of Siem Reap. We hope the trip will bring you enhanced knowledge, renewed passion and hope for the mission, amazing memories, and new friendships.

In addition to arranging your own airfare*, a $1,500 per person fee to AIM will cover in-country trip costs which we will arrange for you.

FAQs

What will the weather be like?
Temperatures will be in the 80℉ with humidity and possible light rain showers. We’ll be mostly indoors with air conditioning throughout the trip.
Will we have internet/cell reception?
At the hotels we stay in, we’ll have wifi. International cell phone plans can be purchased. While in Cambodia the trip group will communicate via the app Signal.
How will we travel while in Cambodia?
Our group will always travel together, driven by an AIM staff member in an air conditioned, comfortable van.
What will we eat?
We’ll eat at incredible restaurants with a variety of choices in dishes, both local and customary, and more of what you’re used to at home. We’ll have access to markets to pick up snacks and will always have plenty of water bottles on hand to stay hydrated.
How will I know what to pack?
We’ll provide you with a packing list and lots of tips and tricks. Attire will be very casual and comfortable.
What if I have a medical emergency?
AIM staff are fully equipped to support in case of sickness or emergencies and we’ll always be within quick and easy access to highly skilled modern medical facilities.
I’m new to international travel, what is the customs process?
No problem! We’ll provide easy instructions for obtaining a tourist visa to Cambodia and navigating the customs process in the airport upon arrival.
