We were again humbled and amazed at all God accomplished in 2010. At year’s end, we had served a total of 145 girls and young women at Agape Restoration Center. We are especially grateful for the fact that out of the 30 young women reintegrated during the year, 83% remain out of the brothels. That is truly a testament to the power of God to transform hearts. The ones who chose to return were over 18 and left ARC before completing the program. We are in contact with each of them and will continue to reach out to them with the love of Christ. And, 5 ARC girls are now in the US for education. In Svay Pak, the activities of Rahab’s House moved into a new, larger building, a building that was originally designed to be a luxury brothel, a prison for the rape of little girls. Instead, the building houses Rahab’s House and brings hope and light to the village. The Church has over 350 adult members; Kid’s Club has over 400 lively, eager members; the Discipleship team has grown to 41 members; an elementary school is serving 180 students; ESL, IT courses and guitar classes are being taught to village adults and children; and free medical care is given to 300-400 villagers each month. Under the Lord’s Gym’s new Christian kick boxing coach, membership has increased to over 50, and 3 traffickers of young girls made the decision to stop. The Cambodian Church?…Moses and his team continue to spread the gospel throughout country and were able to translate and print a Khmer/English bilingual Bible. The extra blessing in this is that not only will it be used to disciple people who have made a commitment to Christ, but it will be used in sex trafficking prevention efforts to teach English.
There is still much work to be done, and your partnership is invaluable. God has proven to us that his unconditional love is the most powerful weapon against this evil, but it requires the support and partnership of people like you. Thank you for partnering with us. Together we will see God continue to bring triumph over the very dark evil of child sex trafficking, and “man who is of the earth may terrify no more”. (Ps 10:18)
With gratitude for your partnership,
The AIM Team
