The victim’s mother made a complaint with police after a woman tricked her daughter to travel to China with the promise of a job with a $500 per month salary. However, she was forcibly sold into marriage and managed to contact her mother to let her know what happened.

The suspect has been arrested and charged with human trafficking-related offenses and will await trial from prison. Efforts are underway to rescue the victim from China, and once she returns our legal team will represent both her and her mother in the upcoming court proceedings.
