Gift Match Honoring the Legacy of Wilberforce

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]By the late 1700’s, the economics of slavery were so deep-rooted that only a small group of people thought anything could be done about it.

That group included William Wilberforce.

Wilberforce began a grassroots campaign to bring awareness to the atrocities of slavery. He used his role in Parliament to fight for freedom. He died just three days after the Slavery Abolition Act of 1833 passed, which effectively banned slavery in the British Empire.

Slavery may be banned in countries around the globe, but modern-day slavery still exists in every corner of the world.

You, too, can be an abolitionist!

To honor the legacy of abolitionist William Wilberforce, a donor will MATCH every gift given by Wilberforce’s birthday, August 24th, up to $24,000 total.
