Honoring Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

Honoring Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. by Fighting Modern-Day Slavery

Today in the United States we pause to remember a hero. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. was a man who fought for freedom, equality and justice for all mankind, regardless of race or social status. He was strengthened and driven by his faith in our great God who fights for the oppressed and marginalized.

“God is not merely interested in the freedom of brown men, yellow men, red men and black men. He is interested in the freedom of the whole human race.”

Martin Luther King, Jr.

We also recognize January as Human Trafficking Awareness Month. The connection between Dr. King’s fight for freedom, equality and justice and our fight against modern-day slavery and human trafficking is a powerful one. AIM is also guided by a distinct philosophy that God anointed the Church through the power of Jesus Christ to overcome this immense evil.

Martin Luther King, Jr. was only 39 years old when he was taken from this world. Today, we invite you to honor his memory by making a $39 donation to AIM. Join us in bringing freedom to those trapped in sexual slavery in Cambodia. Any gift you give will allow us to continue our work to prevent trafficking, and rescue, restore and reintegrate survivors so they can also say…

Today is Giving Tuesday! Every gift will be matched - up to $150,000!
