Two Women Rescued from China Trafficking in Impromptu Raid

At around 9 AM on Tuesday, April 24th, the AIM SWAT Team investigators were having a team meeting at a local café when they noticed 3 Chinese men with 3 Khmer women at a nearby table. Two of the women appeared very poor while the third seemed more affluent. Suspicious of this situation, members of the team situated themselves closer to the group and overheard negotiations between the affluent Khmer woman to send the other two women to China with the men.

Dary Sean Chan: A Lifestyle of Prevention

One of the greatest miracles we witness at AIM is the complete conversion of hearts and lives in the Svay Pak community. Many traffickers, drug dealers, gang members, and sex workers have come to know Jesus, turned their lives around completely, and joined AIM in the work of fighting trafficking.

This is prevention in its most powerful form.

Dary Sean Chan is someone who lives a lifestyle of prevention and has brought hundreds of people into contact with AIM. Her story is one that exemplifies the multiplying impact that one person can have when they’re called by God to fight trafficking.

Dary was a bright and curious young girl when she joined the first-ever English class taught by Don Brewster. As she became more involved and got to know Pastor Chantha and Ratanak, she became curious about Jesus and the work that AIM was doing.

AIM Family Gathering 2018 Recap!

At last week's AIM Family Gathering, we focused on AIM's eight trafficking prevention programs that impact over 500 children, women, and men in our community each month.

We would rather prevent a child from being trafficked than have to rescue them from their traffickers. The damage done to the soul of a trafficked child is a cost which should never have to be paid.

2 Minors Rescued in Thai Border Province

An adult male was arrested at a small guesthouse near the Thai border at approximately 7 PM on Tuesday, March 28th by officers from the Anti-Human Trafficking and Juvenile Protection Police (AHTJPP) of Oddar Meanchey province with support from the AIM SWAT Team. The man was in the process of trafficking two girls, aged 13 and 14, to Thailand to sell for sex.

15 Year Old Escapes Being Trafficked, 2 Arrested

Our latest AIM SWAT report is one of the more unique stories we’ve heard recently, and it has us rejoicing at the news that a potential victim was spared from being harmed! A 15-year-old girl filed a complaint with the Siem Reap Anti-Human Trafficking and Juvenile Protection Police (AHTJPP) that she had been tricked to go to a hotel room where a man was waiting for her and attempted to rape her. She managed to fight him off and escape, then ran back home to tell her mother, who then complained to the AHTJP Police.

On Wednesday, March 21st Officers of the Siem Reap AHTJP Police supported by AIM SWAT arrested 2 adults suspected of being involved in an attempt to traffic the young girl. Both the woman suspected to have sold the girl and the customer at the hotel were located and arrested!

The girl has been transferred to AIM Restoration Home and will be represented by the AIM SWAT legal team throughout subsequent court proceedings. Both suspects were transferred to Siem Reap court.
