Update from Cambo

Bridget here from Cambodia!

Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving! We have so much to be thankful for, everyday.

God is always with us, hears our prayers, forever faithful, loves and uses us in spite of ourselves. His grace and love is amazing. We are blessed with family, friends, faithful prayer warriors, supporters, Board, and staff.

Visitors: We’ve been blessed this past week with a team composed of people from Canada, the UK and Ireland. The Bluetree Band has been giving private lessons to the kids, been hosting concerts all over Cambodia. It’s been great fun to hear the band play at Kid’s Club.

cmas options email1Early Christmas: This Sunday night we will celebrate Christmas with the church, Svay Pak community and some other NGO partners are joining in as well. We usually have over 600 in attendance. Tuesday Siem Reap will celebrate, next Friday the ARC ladies will celebrate Christmas. We do it early so staff can have time with family in the provinces, Pastor will be teaching at a sister church in the province on Christmas Day. You can give to our special Christmas ministries here!

Arrest: Arrest of a trafficker was made this past Tuesday. She faces 7 to 15  years in prison. The police think she will get the full sentence handed to her.

New AEC! AEC in Siem Reap opened this past week! So far so good! Had a tour from Every Nation Christian Church in New Zealand that is working to get orders for us! They also will be showing the Pink Room early next year.

Weddings and Babies: We are awaiting the birth of several babies on staff and at AEC! A second healthy baby boy was born to one of our AEC 1 ladies. And a staff member from ARC gets married tonight as well.

AIM Staff: Dr. Carla has come back from a well-deserved trip to the USA and she brought her parents back with her for them to see her work here. We also have a national male nurse who graduated from nursing school working with her at the clinic now.

Some staff will be taking time off and traveling over the next month. Praying they have safe travels, refreshment and fun. Prayers and thanks for Pam & Derek Helt, newest addition to AIM. They will be Pastors of Staff Care for Cambodia. They are in the process of selling their home, fundraising and packing to move sometime in the beginning of 2014.

Prayer Requests: In the past few weeks there has been a rise in drunkenness and meth/speed use in Svay Pak, making life hard on our staff, girls and boys. Please pray for God’s continued provision and protection, for endurance for the staff. The arrest has irritated some issues as well.

We are waiting on some funding for our Freedom Project (AIM SWAT undercover team) and Monster  Club (young adult night club ministry). Also, prayer for the school expansion. The needs are great.

For several confidential requests, for family and friends struggling with illness, financial troubles, etc. The prayers for the teen in Long Beach was positively answered. Thank you! A special request for a hurting couple.

Many blessings and grace to you and yours!
