20 Girls Hired for our Training Center! News from Cambodia

Friday June 1 we celebrated Children’s Day in Kid’s Club.

How great you are, O Sovereign Lord! There is no one like you, and there is no God but you, as we have heard with our own ears.”  2 Samuel 7:22

Rahab’s House Siem Reap (RHSR) is reworking the plan of care to better take care of the girls God has brought us. The girls will be attending vocational school starting this week. This program is entirely voluntary and the 10 girls who have left karaoke clubs continue to stay out! The William Jessup University (WJU) team had a farewell party Thursday with kabobs, fruit and pastries and dancing. They really enjoyed the dance and guitar lessons. The beauty salon ladies learned many new make up and grooming styles. It was a very fun week up there.  The WJU team will be working in Svay Pak next week. It’s been so great having them here.

Hong Kong Poly U was here teaching robotics in computer lab Svay Pak.  Great, fun class, opening the young minds here to all kinds of possibilities if they continue to study. They also assisted in Kid’s Club. They didn’t know any of the songs at the beginning of the week, but now they know them and hand motions, too. Our kids are good teachers as well! Kid’s Club kids are dancing and singing, “Nothing, nothing, absolutely nothing can separate Christ from them!”

We have hired about 20 new girls for Agape Training Center (ATC) from Agape Restoration Center (ARC) reintegrated girls and local karaoke girls! There are about 13 very large new karaoke clubs in The Pak. The team visits the girls in them advising them about the clinic, church and other services available to help them.

Sisarat has been promoted to Director of ATC. Mr Mouen who has been Director Samol’s assistant will continue to be so as well as Director of AH ( Agape Home).

May God himself, the God of peace, sanctify you through and through. May your whole spirit, soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. The One who calls you is faithful and He will do it.” 1 Thessalonians 5: 23-24.

PRAYER

Measles hit the Svay Pak team early last week, the first to get it are feeling better; it’s running through the ranks, please pray for them.

One of our girls, *Dai, has been reintegrated for over 2 years and she has made repeated poor choices, quit several great jobs, is fighting addictions on and off and now says she really finally wants out of that life and to get away from her well connected thug boy friend. We are taking her to a safe place out of town. Please pray all chains of bondage will be dissolved once and for all and she has her new beginning once again.

ONGOING:

-For all ARC, AH and RH girls to stay strong on their path to restoration.
-For success in ATC and for it to be replicated.
-For all our reintegrated girls to turn first to Christ for their needs. We have so many success stories, we are beyond grateful for them.
-For AIM staff, health, perseverance, joy in all circumstances, unity.
-For wisdom and continued growth in Christ for all.
-Resources to continue the work here and there.
-For friends, family, staff suffering difficult times, health issues, etc.

To You, O Lord, I lift up my soul; in You I trust, O my God Psalm 25:1

Thank you for your faithful prayer support.
