AIM SWAT brought freedom to 6 survivors on Thursday, September 3rd!
The team, assisting local police and investigation departments, raided the brothel in Kandal province near Phnom Penh. During the raid, 2 adults and 4 minors were rescued, while 2 traffickers were arrested by our team.

The survivors confirmed for police that they were being sold for sex to profit the two suspects. Those suspects have subsequently been charged with child sex trafficking related offenses and will remain in prison to await the trial. The brothel, disguised as a massage parlor, was searched for evidence and officially closed by the prosecutor, police, and local authorities.
The 4 minor survivors have been transferred to a partner aftercare shelter where they are receiving care, love, and healing. The adults will be cared for by the Kandal district social affairs office. Our legal team will be representing all victims in all upcoming court proceedings.
