A tip of a trafficked minor turned to the rescue of 4 survivors!
AIM SWAT and local police investigated a tip that a 15 year old girl was being sold for sex at a massage parlor in Siem Reap. Covert surveillance confirmed this information and during our raid of the location on the 4th of September, we were able to rescue 3 other adults as well!
The 4 survivors confirmed for authorities that they were being sold for sex in the massage parlor to the suspect’s profit. The suspect was then charged with child sex trafficking related offenses and will remain in prison until trial. AIM’s legal team will represent the victims throughout the court proceedings.
The 15-year-old is now at a partner aftercare shelter and all the adults survivors have been transferred to the Siem Reap district social affairs office.
