Cambodians wish each other a Happy Merry Christmas!
At the beginning of 2012 someone asked Clayton Butler, AIM’s Director of Operations, “How do you do it? How do you keep sane with what you see and know about the evils of sex trafficking?”
He answered with deep conviction, “The good far outweighs the bad. I couldn’t stay in the fight if my only motivation was my hatred of evil. God is winning.”
Looking back on 2012, we understand even better what he was talking about.
At AIM Restoration Center (ARC), 12 more rescued girls are receiving care and healing, 15 girls were reintegrated and we continue to follow up regularly with over 120 reintegrated girls.
In July, we started our new ministry, AIM Training Center (ATC), and already have 42 young ladies in sustainable jobs who would otherwise be in brothels! The bracelets they make for 3Strands brand launched in August. www.3StrandsGlobal.com
At AIM Rahab’s House (ARH), over 400 children are learning about Jesus and enjoying just being a kid at Vacation Bible School.
Over 350 children are receiving a free education. Some of our students are from the brick factories where children as young as five will do manual labor for 12-14 hours. This is their first opportunity to go to school.
We continue to minister to the pimps and drug dealers through AIM Lord’s Gym (ALG). 2012 also marked our first collaboration in the United States with AIM Safe Families (ASF) starting up in California.
God is not just “winning” in our projects; He is showing Himself mighty through YOU. Whether you know it or not, you are part of a divine network.
We have seen children pray for children, families take in rescued girls, business owners give their first and best, college students shout from stages, artists pour paint mingled with tears on canvas, dizzying generosity from the wealthy, humbling gifts from people on fixed incomes, sacrificial volunteering, churches rally together in powerful unity, and mission teams love with their sweat.
We have seen heaven on earth.
We are praising God this advent season for God’s perfection that came to earth through Jesus and that we see everyday through the community of AIM.
We are thanking Him that He didn’t choose to throw out the broken and replace it with something new. He chose to redeem what was lost, heal the hurting and restore the broken. It’s worth it because GOD IS WINNING!
Thank you for your financial investment in what God’s doing through AIM.
